FOUR-DAY LITHOGRAPHY COURSES
1. Saturday 5th - Sunday 6th & Saturday 12th - Sunday 13th April 2025
2. Monday 21st—Thursday 24th July 2025
3. Saturday 4th—Sunday 5th & Saturday 11th—Sunday 12th October 2025
The four-day stone lithography courses are suitable for artists with or without previous experience of printmaking. Each participant is encouraged to explore the medium in the way which is most appropriate to his or her own interests and experience. The four-day format allows for more in depth development of images, ideas and skills. Participants can expect to leave with one or two small editions of prints.
Cost: £300 (£280 with early bird discount).
TWO-DAY MASTERCLASS
Saturday 6th—Sunday 7th September 2025
We are delighted to welcome back guest tutor Paul Croft to teach this course, suitable for those with previous experience of lithography who would benefit from the extensive knowledge and expertise of a Tamarind Master Printer. The two days will include a presentation of both his own lithographs and others printed in collaboration with other artists, as well as the opportunity to make your own print.

The fee includes all essential materials. Fine printing papers can be purchased at the studio. A full refund will be given if the course is cancelled. One-to-one and group rates are available.
The number of participants on all our courses will be small. If you are interested but unsure about dates, please contact us anyway and we will try to accommodate you. Other course formats and dates are negotiable.
THE STUDIO
Oaks Editions Lithography Studio is a professional artist-printmaker’s workshop, fully equipped with three direct presses for stone lithography. It is in part of a converted stable building on the former estate of the Earl of Derby, now an attractive public park in the London Borough of Sutton.
HOW TO GET THERE
By road, Oaks Park is off the A2022 (Croydon Lane) between Purley and Banstead. By train from Victoria to Carshalton or Carshalton Beeches from where you can be met by car (5 minute drive). See Contact page for full postal address.

THE TUTORS
Simon Burder studied stone lithography at the Ecole des Beaux Arts, Paris, and has since taught the subject for many years at art schools, adult education colleges and independent community print workshops.
Paul Croft trained at the Tamarind Institute, USA, and is a Tamarind Master Printer. He is a lecturer in Printmaking and lithography at Aberystwyth University School of Art and a member of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers. His two books Stone Lithography and Plate Lithography, published by A & C Black, are widely known.
